The Knowledge Society

An attempt at a Transcendental narrative by two Canadian tech entrepreneur brothers. An after-school program of sorts for precocious youth (a “people incubator”), focused on instilling ambition, entrepreneurialism, systems thinking, “joyful fulfillment”, etc.

In some sense, it’s really about trying to spread San Francisco intellectual culture. But in some sense, the approach seems too shallow—the stories are exciting, but they also have a clear element of cargo culting. But maybe it’s a reasonable approach to Novices in enabling environments often can’t do what’s enabled.

Their “core loop” learning model is a variant of I do / we do / you do: learn -> replicate -> create. Closer to modding / YouTube culture.
