If you’re driving with turn-by-turn directions and you make a wrong turn, Google Maps doesn’t say “you made a wrong turn.” It simply reroutes you. The interface is responsive to your action or inaction, always maintaining a continuous route to your destination.
This is an interesting variation of the general design principle Prefer undo to confirmation steps.
