Cloze deletions can be used to create typical N-sided flashcards

A typical Spaced repetition memory system represents cloze deletions separately from front/back flashcards, but it’s interesting to observe that you can think of typical flashcards as a special case of cloze deletions.

That is, a front/back flashcard can be constructed as a cloze deletion prompt with the back contents as cloze.
